The density of the aluminum honeycomb core is low (about 4.5 kilograms per square meter), which is 1/5 of the weight of a wooden board of the same thickness and area, 1/6 of glass, and 1/7 of aluminum. Because the middle layer contains a lot of air, it can be soundproof (air sound insulation can reach 30dB) and heat-insulating (thermal resistance can reach 0.02 (㎡·K/W)). It contains no flammable substances, and its fireproof grade reaches B1. It is waterproof, moisture-proof, and does not release harmful gases. It has a high specific strength and high specific stiffness per unit mass (the structural stiffness is 1.7 times that of the rib type). It is not easy to deform, and completely overcomes the shortcomings of other decorative panels such as deformation and middle collapse when the single area is large. In addition, it can be cut and folded at will, which is convenient for processing and application.
